ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE !!!!!!!

This  page  has a variety for ways to assist the troops and their families.  It  also  provides a few points  to protect both US TROOP SUPPORT and Donors  .  Please take a look at our  "upcoming events" page as well.  There you will find many events  we will participate in and  have collections for troops care packages etc.. at .

Christmas is just around the corner !   US Troop Support sends artificial trees, lights and decorations to as many units as possible.   The holidays are hard enough being  6000  miles from home.  Donations have been  very sparce and we need  help !   We are asking   buisness's  to  help sponsor   Christmas  for a unit.  The cost is $300  per unit.  This will include a tree, ornaments, decorations and  mailing.    In return  the Buisness will recieve a certificate to hang  showing they  helped sponsor   Christmas  for a unit.

US TROOP SUPPORT relies on the volunteers to use their own computers and buy their own ink  , paper, etc..   We also purchase many of the needed supplies our selves with our own personal money. Any business  that would like to donate any of these items for us  would be greatly apreciated!  We try to use as least  money as possible on admin and other outdide the program things.  This keeps  your donations where they belong !

To make a  monetary donation online please click on any one of the donation links on the left.

Old Cell  Phones and  empty Ink cartridges needed !

Send your old cell phones and printer ink cartridges to us and we will send them in for recycling and get a donation for each one we send in!  If  you are not in the KC area no problem we can send you a free shipping label to send them in !  For more information on this please contact Linda at 816-224-4729 or email Linda  by clicking on the  ustsassistance@aol.com   These emails go directly to Linda.

Please know who you are donating to ! If  you have any question Please contact us !

Here is a  request  we recieved in June 07 from another Army Unit  that deployed  from our area.

Dear Sir / Ma'am

We are stationed  near Baghdad , Iraq.  Our unit  hunts for IED's ( Improvised Explosive devices  in roads)  The equipment  we have  has worn out and we are in need of  spot lights  and bulbs for  our vehicles.  Can you help us with  this?

This equipment  costs about $1600 plus the extra bulbs.  We are working on getting  it donated but thus far have not been able to!   We need help with these requests !

We do not get  a large amount in monetary donations. Notice on our 990  on the first page of thie web site.  The  amount we brought in  last year was over a half million dollars, however most was in goods.   We work fund raisers and  send mailngs  for donations to help with  postage for care packages and family assistance.  It is very difficult for us to fill these requests.

.

You may mail a check , money order or any denomination  postal stamps to :

US TROOP SUPPORT

PO BOX 782 Blue Springs, Mo 64013

Note: checks should be made payable to US TROOP SUPPORT

You may also send Gift cards from the following businesses for us to purchase items we never get enough of.  Office Depot ,  Q.T. , Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, HyVee, Price Chopper, Sams Club,  JC Penny or  Afees Gift cards.

We ask that any phone cards be purchase from Afees ( PX / BX) since many other charge a large percentage of the minutes to activate , and give less minutes when used in Iraq or Afghanistan.

US Troop Support  not only sends care packages but also assists  families  of  troops serving in combat.  We do at times have buisnesses and groups collecting  donations.  When we do this  we will have it listed on our web site on the up coming events page. We do not allow  persons outside US TROOP SUPPORT to solicit donations  in US TROOP SUPPORT's name, without prior written consent!   We are not responsible for any donations given to anyone outside the list of persons provided on this page.  Please know who you are donating to and make  the donation in form of check  if it is a person outside  this list. Also  feel free to follow up  on it by calling Linda at 816-224-4729. You may also email Linda at USTSASSISTANCE@aol.com for further questions or help on this type situation.

You may help by placing a advertisement  and buisness link on our site. The costs are as follows:

  US FLAGS NEEDED !!!!

We have been asked for US FLAGS  that units can fly and then send back to loved ones to remember  tours.  We are collecting US FLAGS  for these units.  We ask that the flags be new and  large like the kind  you would fly  on your home. We will place them in care packages and mail them to the different units.

We are also selling pocket flags for heroes. These are $5 each and  you can write a note  to send with them  to one of our fighting men or women.

We need your help !!!

We can place stamps on  the boxes to assist with postage.   The flat rate boxes are  $8.10 each to mail no matter the weight.  As of May 14th, 2007 this will change to $8.95  due to a postage increase taking effect.  We gladly accept stamps of all denominations. The following lists have been compiled from previous lists since we have gotten letters from military personnel on how things are changing for them in the middle ease areas and what is now available to them and what is not available or is in limited supply.

The guys are adamantly requesting the following items

pepperoni  logs  in vac  packs
Beef  logs in the vac packs, Tuna  pouches, chicken pouches,  turkey pouches,  lunch to go
Kraft  easy cheese   squirt cans, velvetta,
Bisquit ,  Ritz,  wheat thins, and other snack crackers like this

Special list for hospital  in Iraq / for injured troops

Boxer shorts  size medium and large

t-shirts  ( uniform colors purchased from PX / BX/ or Afees  only PLEASE ! ( size Med and Lg)

pajama bottoms mens  size med and large ( knits are the best ..  these are for injured troops  in hospital areas.

draw string bags   8x10,  10x13,   12 x 15,  15 x 18   ( these are approx sizes and can be hand made they are using them to place  hygiene items  and a set of clothing in for troops moving from their hospital to another rehab center or back to the states)

A longer list of items we send on a regular basis  follows  below

Our  Normal list for care packages is as follows ..   Please understand we  get a lot of hygiene items and not so much in snacks and food items.   A bar of soap lasts a month  but a box of cookies  will get shared and be gone in 10 minutes. The mess halls are only open twicw a day from what we are told. The troops are not allowed to take items out of the mess hall. So they depend on care packages  for snacking. When they are in the filed  they have no mess hall available and they depend on MRE's and care packages to eat. So please  think snacks first!
