Sept 11, 2006 marked the 5th anniversary of a tradgedy. KFKF and its sister stations graciously helped US TROOP SUPPORT on this day . The radio stations held a radio- thon that brought in more then $26,000 in pledges to send care packages to combat troops fighting for America's Freedom. There is no words that can express the gratituide we have for them ! The Station Mgr and staff performed an outstanding job. The hard work and patirotism they showed will not be forgotten. Thanks KFKF !
During the 2006 holiday season , we recieved a great amount of support from Blue Springs Animal clinic, Hyvee on Ward Rd in Lee's Summit , MO, HyVee in Gladstone, Mo, Star Bucks Coffee in Blue Springs, Mo, KC, MO, Lee's Summit ,Mo and Independence, Mo. We want to particularly Thank all of the staff at these business locations for all their time and support !
We want to Thank Everyone that generously donated time, items, postage stamps and money in 2006!
Without you, we could not have achieved any of the goals we have. In 2006 we mailed more then 17,000 care packages. This brought our total mailed since 2003 (when we first started this project ) to a total of more then 54,000 care packages , 200,000 letters , AND more then 23,000 phone cards MAILED TO COMBAT TROOPS. We assisted more then 80 military families in different ways duirng 2006. We could never had
accomplished this without YOUR HELP ! THANK YOU !!!!

We held "adopt a box " at Gladstone, Mo HyVee. Thanks to Steve the Director at Hyvee and the wonderful employees there , KFKF ( Dale and Mary ) and all the Loyal Listeners that came and adopted a box we were able to mail more then 200 boxes off to combat troops! Thanks Gladstone HyVEE ! Thanks KFKF ... DALE AND MARY and all the staff that has helped and Thanks all you loyal Listeners for your patriotic support!

March 07 We want to Thank Bob Larson of the Internal Revenue in KC, Mo for providing items and postage for more then 100 care packages for troops serving in combat.

Brownie Troop #1210 from Fishers, Indiana along with the help of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Springfield Ohio and Christ The Savior Lutheran Church of Fishers, Indiana collected Girl Scout cookies and other items for our troops. Pakmail donated shipping to get these items to us to send to our troops !
God Bless them all. They collected almost 700 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and numerous other items . The Patriotism and caring of these wonderful children and the Churches are certainly appreciated by all of us !
These items will all go out to our troops in care packages this month !

Thank You STAR BUCKS !
Since Jan 2007 , KC Metro area Star Bucks employees have graciously donated more then 1500 pounds of Star Bucks coffee to send to our troops. They continue to support our troops with coffee almost monthly, by donating it to us to send ! We thank them for their patriotism !
Our troops love this coffee and Star Bucks loves our Troops! This is A NON -POLITICAL DONATION ! It is about caring for our Americans!

We want to thank all of the generous folks that donated items and services for our Silent Aucion and sales booth at the Wellington Fair. June 14- 16th.
We also want to thank all of those who visited us there and purchased items, made donations in our jugs and just helped make it a success. We earmed enough for us to mail more then 500 boxes out to troops!

We want to thank KFKF for doing such a wonderful job on the radio, all the loyal listeners for calling in with donations and pledges, Rancho Grande's in Liberty, Parkville, Platte City and Blue Springs for allowing us to have
on site's at those locations to collect for our troops, and The KC Royals for allowing us at the game to collect for the troops.
We also want to thank Einstein Bagels in Blue Springs, Lamars Doughnuts in Blue Springs, Fun House Pizza of Blue Springs KFC in Blue Springs, and Papa Johns Pizza in Blue Springs for supplying our volunteers with great food to eat while they were answering those phones at the phone bank. We also want to thank Remax professionals for donating the phone bank, in making this event possible !
