We keep names of prior donors and use as contacts. We also send donation requests at random. Our volunteers go on line and get names and addresses. We do not share this info with anyone either. Obviously it is public if it is open on line for us to get.
Privacy is important to our donors and we know that! We do not give, trade or sell donors names or addresses.
If you are a business that donates items or money we give you the option to be listed on our web site under the Sponsors and recognition page. If you choose to remain anonymous, we certainly understand. Only our main office has access to donor files. Those files are kept secure under a pass word key.
No personally identifiable information is collected from USTSF's website.
Our 990 is posted on our web site. We will be more than happy to email, fax, or mail a copy upon request.

US Troop Support volunteers and board members meet a minimum of 5 times per year. We try to meet monthly. On months that do not allow us to meet, due to weather or fund raiser schedules, we have conference calls and emails. We decide on projects and spending by majority votes of all members, volunteer and board. We also discuss completed projects and determine if we accomplished what we set as a goal. If not we discuss how to do it differently to achieve our goal, or possibly not to do it again in the future. Minutes are taken at each meeting and filed. One of the main decisions on keeping things in check is that no single item purchase of more than $200 will be made without a vote by majority of board members and volunteers.

We also have many volunteers that come in for only one or two events per year and are not part of our regular group.
We have a CPA that does our 990 for USTS free. He is not a regular volunteer or board member.

Our office / operating expenses as figured in here include web site, postage for donation requests and receipts,Secretary of State fees, banners, replacement of banners, business cards. replacement tables, chairs etc..
If a donation has an attached request on how the donor wishes for USTSF to use it, we will comply, unless it is outside of our bylaws and mission. If that is the case the donation will be returned to the donor.
All donation requests state what the donations will be used for.

At this time, USTSF has not fallen into the categorey of auditing. Therefore we have no audit reports.
