Recently we recieved the following Utube video of THANKS for our wonderful heroes, sung by our third graders at Tussing Elementary School in Colonial Heights, Va. It had this note with it and the link. It is an awesome tribute and we want to Thank this group of kids and the teacher for sharing it with us and allowing us to share it .

Thanks for anything you can do to help us let our troops know that they are deeply appreciated!

Hero's Hope Networks mission is  to educate  the  general public about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, the signs, symptoms, and making them aware of the great cost it extracts from our heroes.

Create a national registry of veterans who have
been there, suffer from the same issues, got
the help they needed to live, and are
completely dedicated to helping other vets live.
These vets will be asked to respond to other vets
when needed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Create a Hot Line for family and friends of the

 It
has recently been brought to our attention
that many injured troops are unaware that
they have benefits through their SGLI
policies.   If you have been injured in combat, make sure you have  spoken to your Unit Commander and asked about the benefits you may recieve under your SGLI policy.
It is no longer only a Life Insurance policy.
You may qualify for  up to $400 thousand
dollars  depending on your injury and
disability.

Countless veterans are currently suffering from life-threatening illnesses
that are a result of exposure to asbestos, a material that was commonly
used in hundreds of military applications, products, and ships primarily
because of its resistance to fire.  Unfortunately, asbestos-related diseases
are not always recognized by the VA, which is why we’ve hired a knowledgeable
24-year navy veteran that can assist those affected by asbestos-related
diseases with filing for VA benefits.

Countless veterans were exposed to asbestos during their military service.
The Mesothelioma Treatment Center is the leader in information on asbestos
exposure and mesothelioma doctors, if you've recieved
a mesothelioma prognosis . They provide a complete list of occupations,
ships, and shipyards that could have put our Veterans at risk for developing
asbestos-related diseases. In addition, they have thousands of articles
regarding asbestos and mesothelioma and we’ve even created a
veterans-specific section on their website in order to help inform veterans
about the dangers of asbestos exposure.

Social Sec  benefits

Many veterans will have the need to file for Social Security Disability benefits. The Social Security and Disability Resource Center website (www.ssdrc.com) provides answers to questions concerning how to apply for disability, how to appeal a claim in the event of a denial, how to navigate the federal system, and how to avoid certain mistakes that are commonly made by applicants filing for either SSD (social security disability) or SSI (supplemental security income) benefits.

Written by a former claims examiner, this information may be helpful to many of your site's visitors.
