USTSF mails care packages to Troops in combat 364 days a year, when items and funds are available.

New Requested items ASAP
A bunch of the troops in Afghanistan have requested "Rite in the Rain" products. The products requests are folders with inserts and small pocket note books. I have contacted the company which told me they have no budget for donations at this time, however are willing to give us a 50% discount. These are not real expensive items. However they are expensive when described what they are. The feature that is unique and reason for requests, is that the paper is treated and ink will not run when wet ( rain, or perspiration ).
The cost on the items run from $6.95 to $21.95. The $6.95 pocket note books are the most requested ... meaning $3.50 each with discount. We have requests for more than 400 of these at this time. The binder / folder with insert is $21.95 and we have requests for 136 at this time. These are both items Rite in Rain have been able to donate in the past. They have supported USTSF & our Troops well in the past and I am hoping you will find it in your heart to help by donating for these. We also have requests for air fresheners and candles. We are holding a Yankee candle fund raiser .. You may sponsor a candle for a troop for $30. This will purchase the candle and assist with shipping it inside of a filled care package !

June 22nd
We will be at Hy-Vee East located off M291 in Lee's Summit, MO, holding an adopt a box an collecting for our troops care packages
July 6th
We will be at Walmart in Blue Springs, MO (located on Coronado DR ) collecting for our combat troops.
July 10 - 14th
USTSF will be at the Softball tournaments at Hidden Valley Park, selling POP & Bottled Water ( Cheaper than the consession stand ! $1 each and all proceeds help mail care packages )
July 13th
We will be at Hy-Vee West located on Ward rd ( off 3rd St exit) in Lee's Summit, MO holding an adopt a box and collecting items for our troops care packages.
July 20th
We will be at Walmart in Lee's Summit, MO located off M291 Hwy collecting for our combat troops.
Aug 10th
We will be at Walmart in Blue Springs, MO (located on Coronado DR ) collecting for our combat troops.
Aug 17th Annual Bike poker run
Slightly delayed this year.. but still going to happen Rain or Shine !
Mojo's located on 7 Hwy ( Southeast corner of Clark St and & 7Hwy in strip mall) in Blue Springs, MO., will be hosting our annual Bike run ! Planning in progress!
There will be raffle and lots of great prizes. $20 for driver $10 for rider . Registration will open soon. We will post registration forms, and details here soon, so keep watching for them ! Mojo's will have registration forms and raffle tickets available beginning July 13th.. Raffle will run til day of ride! Start at Mojo's and end at Mojo's with a picnic setting of food and beverages.

Oct 1st, 2013 begins our Holiday Collections.
We try to send as much of "home" as possible for our troops to celebrate the holidays. They may not be able to be with their biological families to celebrate, however they can still celebrate with their family in arms. Please do not forget how far they are from home and how much they are missed and how much they miss home! This is a very special time of the year for all of us to say "THANK YOU ! and You are NOT forgotten !" to all of them !
There are many ways to help !
Adopt one service member...
contact Linda at 816-224-4729 and get a name and wish list, purchase the items from the wish list and USTSF will get them mailed to the service member! You may also visit one of the locations located below and grab an ornament from one of our Adopt a troop trees with a troops name and wish list.
Adopt a Platoon... Donate $500 for "Adopt a Platoon" and USTSF will mail a 6ft artificial tree for each platoon,
decorations and care packages to fill stockings for each person in a platoon.
Adopt a Unit.... Donate $2,500. for "Adopt a unit" and USTSF will send artificial trees for each platoon, decorations and goodies to each person in a unit.
Adopt a Family.... Please call Linda for more information on adopting a military family .. We have families sign up and code them. We give you the childrens first names and ages and their wish lists. We ask you purchase items from the wish lists and also donate a $100. Gift card for Groceries for Christmas dinner. Or you may pair up with someone else to help in assisting a family during the holidays. The economy has ben really hard on everyone and especially on our Military families of lower ranks.
US Troop Support Foundation will have trees up in the KC Metro area starting in NOV.
The trees will have paper ornaments on them . Each ornament will have a service members name ( only name) and a wish list of items they have requested for the holidays. Some ornaments will have a family code # on them with a list of the children's first names, age and wish list. You may grab an ornament and adopt that service member or family . You purchase items from the lists, Return the items to the location you got the ornament ( or call LInda at 816-224--4729 to arrange a pick up or delivery) . Please place the ornament back in with your purchase so we know who the items are for. USTSF will get the items to the service member or family for the holidays. If you would like to help with postage for Service members packages, you may place a check in an envelope made out to USTSF and place it with the items.
If you would like a tax receipt sent to you, please include a note , and one will be mailed to you.
