US Troop Support Foundation and 106-5 The WOLF proudly support The Hometown Heroes Fun Fund! The Fund, begun by an anonymous donor who wanted to help troops get reacclimated to Kansas City life after being in combat, awards small “dream packs” to returning men and women for activities they enjoy and have missed while away. It could be anything from tickets to a sporting event, dinner with friends, going to the movies with the family and a variety of other things! If you’d like to nominate a returning troop, please log on to www.1065 thewolf.com and tell us about them. 106-5 The WOLF’s Darren, Tim & Codie randomly award gifts from the Fund to returning men and women on the air Monday through Friday between 5 and 10 a.m. Please note that the troop awarded a gift from the Fund must have a valid military ID and deployment papers showing return home from a combat area or DD214 showing overseas combat tour or overseas combat orders to redeem their gift. (DD214’s can be used within 30 days of ETS/EAS).

list that is always needed..
At&t Global Phone Cards ( Please note International phone cards do not really work internationally for our troops. Please purchase either AT &T GLOBAL or Ship to Shore cards. Phone cards bought at Walmarts and other civilian store locations charge activation fees and higher costs per minute. Some of those do not work at all. PLEASE order phone cards on line at https://thor.aafes.com/scs/default.aspx have them shipped to you or us. Or we will be happy to purchase them for you at the Exchange.
Repeat :
Phone cards must be AT & T Global or Ship to Shore cards !!!! Please do NOT purchase cards from places other than AAFES online or a PX or BX.
International cards DO NOT work in most combat areas. They Must be GLOBAL or SHIP to SHORE.
Please remember Snacks do NOT last as long as Hygiene items

We also get many lists requesting items that can be handed out to the locals. We focus mainly on our troops. However we are not there and we we do not judge items they ask for. If we can help, we do.
Troops are always in need of
AT & T Global phone cards. We ask
that these be purchased at a
Post Exchange or Base Exchange
or through aafes. The reason for
this is these cards are under
government contract when
purchased through the exchange.
The troops are charged 3 to 1 on
these cards. On other cards they
are charged a surcharge
plus 5 to 1 on minutes.
